The Pagan religion and my Place within it

By Magister Jay Woodwolf

In a meditative journey to seek my Spirit wolf, He revealed to me that I am a
"Wolf of Greenwood," after that I started calling myself Greenwolf. Previously, I was known as Gray Moon, as Gray represents neutrality and Moon represents following the lunar path in Wicca. For all intents and purposes, I was a Neutral witch.

I don't know where to start with all this other than what I have shared with you as a starting Point.

What I can tell you is that I do tend to go towards the Celtic ways. Druidic Path, Celtic Shamanism, Celtic Reconstructionism, and Celtic Wicca!

I believe that My Spirit Guild, the wolf, is a part of me and I of it, being separate but co-existing as a symbiotic relationship. A Co-magician of the Spiritual level. and to commune with the Spirit Animal, one must look within themselves, In a spirit Journey of some type, or listen to the voice within one's mind. I believe this spirit has existed within other magicians from the past and each magician it has a relationship with learns from the Human and the Human learns from it.

I believe in the Earth Mother, who birthed the world and everything on it including all of us. This makes the Earth Sacred and all of us are interconnected in some way. I believe in Apollo as my God, I believe he is my Spiritual Mentor and Father. I believe he helps me through my bad times and encourages me in the Good times. I also view him as a type of woodland protector, I also believe in the Lord of the Forest and Woodlands as the first ancestor.

I believe in the power of the Family (clan/tribal) it's the power of love and the connection you have with others to work energy together for a more spiritual experience.  This includes honoring the Ancestors giving practitioners a sense of family, and teaching honor, and an afterlife.

I believe in the Natural Energy of the Earth, I don't call it Magick, it's the energy that is of the world, and when we are connected to the Earth on a Spiritual level, we can bend or manipulate this energy to aid us in our workings. To work this energy one must be balanced with mind, body, and spirit and with one's emotions. I do not use Spell-craft as it is defined, I use prayer and of course energy bending.

I am currently trying to learn the properties of herbs, roots, and other plants for healing, cleansing, and incense purposes. I believe that these plants have an essence that should be added to the spiritual work one is doing, exp. Ritual work, Prayer, mediation, and so forth.

The tools of my Craft are Staff - Earth, sword - Air, hunting knife - Fire, Cauldron or Bowl -water.

I don't believe in Traditionally casting a Circle, I believe that the circle created by the energy work of all Practitioners in the circle is a group mind and energy. No one "walks" the circle and during Private solitary Practice a Circle is not needed.
